I am a research scientist at the Process and Data Intelligence (PDI) Unit at FBK. I received my Master Degree in Computer Science at University of L’Aquila, Italy, in 2003 and my PhD in Information and Communication Technologies from the University of Trento, Italy, in 2011. During the PhD I worked in the Software Engineering (SE) Unit at FBK, by mainly investigating topics related to business processes. In detail, the focus of my work was on the semantic annotation of business processes and the automated reasoning capabilities semantic annotations can provide, as well as on the reverse engineering of business process models from Web Applications. In 2011 I joined the Data and Knowledge Management (DKM) Unit and in 2013 the PDI Unit at FBK. My current research interests include, besides business process modeling, process mining (especially process discovery, as well as predictive and prescriptive process monitoring).
- Predictive and Prescriptive Process Monitoring
- Explainability in Predictive Process Monitoring
- Process and data mining and verification
- Empirical evaluations with human subjects
