Process Extraction From Text
OVERVIEW
Business process management has become an important practice in a wide number of organizations because companies must have control over times and costs of business procedures through the analysis of business processes. A key component for this analysis are the (conceptual) model of the business processes that have to be managed. To reduce time and costs, and support modelers, an initial elicitation of such process models from event logs and textual data was proposed in the literature. However, while the field of process mining from event logs established itself as an active research field, the analysis of the relevant literature on process extraction from natural language text reveals that even after years, this research area is still in an early stage of development, which rarely scales to real world documents.
In this research project we aim at solving these limitations using recent research advancements and artificial intelligence.
